| Abstract: | Switzerland ratified the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women in 1997. With regard to article 7 on the Elimination of discrimination in political and public life, the report presents the situation in Switzerland and describes the measures adopted by the authorities. Information and statistical data analyse the representation of women in political and public life. Other information are provided on the participation of women and men in non-governmental organizations concerned with public life. La Suisse a ratifié la Convention de l'ONU sur l'élimination de toutes les formes de discrimination à l'égard des femmes en 1997. Concernant l'article 7 sur la vie politique et publique, ce rapport présente la situation en Suisse et les mesures prises par les autorités. Des informations et des données statistiques analysent la représentation des femmes dans les différentes fonctions publiques et politiques. D'autres informations présentent la collaboration des femmes et des hommes au sein des organisations non gouvernementales s'occupant de la vie publique. |
