Dates of election / renewal (from/to) 3 July 2005
Timing and scope of renewal Elections were held for 71 of 126 seats in the newly created Chamber of Councilors. The General Union of Tunisian Workers (UGTT) which is entitled to 14 seats did not participate in the elections. 41 members are appointed.
