PARLIAMENTARY ACTIONS FOR A NUCLEAR-WEAPON-FREE WORLD Parliamentary Roundtable during the Vienna Conference on the Humanitarian Impact of Nuclear Weapons

	Further to the 2014 IPU resolution "Towards a nuclear-weapon-free world: the contribution of Parliaments", a Parliamentary Roundtable is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 9 December 2014, on the occasion of the International Conference on the Humanitarian Impact of Nuclear Weapons in Vienna. The event is hosted by the Austrian Parliament and co-sponsored by the IPU and Parliamentarians for Nuclear Non-proliferation and Disarmament (PNND). In preparing for the International Conference in Vienna, the host country has encouraged all States to include elected representatives such as parliamentarians and mayors in their national delegations. The Parliamentary Roundtable will provide an opportunity for participating parliamentarians to share experiences and examples of parliamentary action towards achieving a nuclear-weapon-free world, and to develop ideas and strategies for further action. The working language of the meeting will be English only. The Parliamentary Roundtable will take place independently of the International Conference on the Humanitarian Consequences of Nuclear Weapons, and registration for this roundtable will not grant access to the International Conference itself. Registration for the International Conference should be dealt with by each delegation individually, as part of the overall Conference accreditation procedure.
