| Membership |
The Members of the Committee are selected from among members of parliament. In the selection of the members of the Committee, the parties represented in Parliament designate, through the Whips, membership to the Committee on the basis of party representation in the House. Overall membership of teh Committee reflects proportional membership in the House, taking into consideration the numerical strength of the Parties and the interests of the independent members. The party of organization in Government designates the chairperson and deputy chairperson of the Committee. The members designated are announced by the Speaker in Parliament and accordingly assume their respective membership or office. The Committee has 21 members.
