The Committee has 19 members from all five parliamentary fractions. |
| Working methods |
The Committee follows the same procedures as other parliamentary committees. The most important document that applies is the Rules of Procedure of Hungarian Parliament. The current Committee still has not created its own Rules of Procedure (earlier Committees had their own).
The sessions are normally open to public. The Committee has the power to organize inquiries, hearings, or to summon government officials. Decisions are made by a simple majority vote.

| Relations with other parliamentary bodies |
The Committee on Human Rights, Minorities and Religious Affairs has connections with parliamentary partner committees in neighboring countries (Romania, Czech Republic, Slovenia and Slovakia), and with other partner committees and subcommittees. |
| Relations with external bodies |
The Committee and the Subcommittee have good relations with the government, the Ombudsman (they participate in Committee sessions). The Committee invites to their sessions the national human rights bodies and nongovernmental organizations. |

Modification of the Act on Public Health, sanitary regulations, data protections diseased/infected persons by HIV/AIDS. |
