This module of the Parline database is used to store information about the structure and functioning of specialized parliamentary bodies (commissions, committees, sub-commissions, etc.) dealing with issues of particular relevance to specific fields of activity.
Relevant data has been provided by national parliaments through special questionnaires and processed by the IPU Secretariat so as to fit into predefined database fields.
As of this moment, information about parliamentary bodies specializing in the following fields is available:
Human rights
Status of women and gender equality
International trade
HIV/AIDS
Similar to the Advanced Search interface of PARLINE, it is possible to combine up to seven search criteria (four predefined and three general) and use the various display options. Explanations and examples of common queries can be found in the Search Tips section.
