Comments
- In all, 200 members, including 12 women, were appointed by the King on 31 July 2014. However, seven men and one woman members did not take up their seats in the 220-member National Legislative Assembly, which was convened on 7 August. There were thus 11 women out of 192 members.
- On 27 September 2014, 28 additional members (including two women) were appointed, raising the number of women to 13 out of 220 members.
- The 2014 provisional constitution provided that the National Legislative Assembly would comprise not more than 220 members. Amendment (No.3) 2016, promulgated in August 2016, raised the statutory number of the Assembly members to 250. In October 2016, 30 new members were appointed to the National Legislative Assembly. The number of women remained unchanged at 13 (out of 250 members).
- As at September 2018, there were 13 women out of 246 members.
