As a rule, the composition of the Committee corresponds to the party composition of Parliament. Working methods |
Items discussed at the Committee meetings are taken from the agenda of the current plenary session. Reports of Government representatives are the main source of information at the Committee meetings. At the Committee meetings, the Committee adopts a position and establishes draft legislations and reports to Parliament thereon. The Committee's reports are public (issued in a parliamentary bulletin and published on the parliament's website: www.sabor.hr). |
Relations with other parliamentary bodies |
The Committee cooperates with other parliamentary bodies of common interests and competences; they hold joint sessions and submit joint reports thereon to Parliament.
|
Relations with external bodies |
Committee meetings must be attended by a member of Government, a deputy or assistant minister of state when such sessions are held to consider Government proposals or positions, or by directors of state administrative bodies when such sessions are held to consider matters that fall within their competence. The representative of the Government or the state body is entitled to participate in discussion and debate at the sessions.
So far members of the Croatian Parliament have not participated at the WTO ministerial conferences as part of the official national delegation.
