They can be used separately or in combination. Search Criteria: Limits search results to parliamentary chambers that match the criteria you specify. Display Options: Displays selected data fields in search results. By default, only the country and chamber name are displayed. It is often useful to combine the two features by using both the Search Criteria and Display Options boxes. In the example below, the results will display election dates, the total number of seats occupied and the current number of women parliamentarians in unicameral African parliaments that held elections in 2006. EXAMPLE ADVANCED SEARCH CRITERIA The tables below describe the three types of search criteria available in the Advanced search (criteria with predefined values, freely chosen criteria, and criteria with numerical values) and give examples of the values associated with each of the search criteria.
