The Fijian Parliament was bicameral between 1972 and 2006, comprising the House of Representatives and the Senate. As members of the Senate were not elected by direct universal suffrage, we have no statistics on elections during that period, but limited information on the 2006 renewal is available below. The 2013 Constitution provides for a unicameral parliament, thereby abolishing the Senate.
