The Committee is composed of seven deputies selected on the basis of elections in the single-mandate electoral districts. |
| Working methods |
The Committee meets once a week or, if necessary, more often. As a rule, it discusses draft standard-setting acts (laws, resolutions, regulations, etc.) and takes decisions on them. The Committee also deals with questions concerning respect for the constitutional rights of citizens and, in conjunction with the relevant State bodies, settles matters relating to human rights. The Committee is entitled to conduct on-site parliamentary hearings. |

In discussing draft legislation, the Committee holds an expanded meeting with the participation of members of other committees and representatives of the Government and other ministries and departments. |
